PLOP install to USB HDD MBR via EasyBCD?

Have an old PC whose BIOS won't boot via USB.
Its old HDD quit booting, likely not even working.
Via USB enclosure, restored an image to another.
Now, it's usb-connected to a Win11, EFI system.
I'd like to install PLOP to its MBR prior to replace.

Saw EasyBCD and thought it might work for that.
However, option's disabled due to host being EFI?

Any way to workaround or add such of a feature?

I just want to say that EasyBCD is a tool that is designed to work with Windows systems that use the MBR (Master Boot Record) boot method. If your host system is using the EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) boot method, EasyBCD may not have all of its features available, including the ability to install PLOP to the MBR.

However, there is a workaround to install PLOP on an EFI system. You can create a bootable PLOP USB drive using a tool such as Rufus and then boot your PC from the PLOP USB drive. Once PLOP is loaded, you can then install it to the MBR of the old PC's hard drive.

Here's a general outline of the steps you can follow:

  1. Download PLOP and create a bootable PLOP USB drive using Rufus or a similar tool.
  2. Connect the old PC's hard drive to your EFI system using a USB enclosure.
  3. Boot the old PC from the PLOP USB drive.
  4. Once PLOP is loaded, select the option to install PLOP to the MBR of the connected hard drive.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by PLOP to complete the installation process. Dinar Recaps
Note: Before attempting to install PLOP, make sure to back up any important data on the old PC's hard drive, as the process may erase the data on the drive.
