Windows 10 question

Suppose I want to restore the original MBR code, for Windows 10.
I know that BCD deployment can write Win7 MBR.

Is it fully compatible with Windows 10, for all circumstances, capacities and partitions?

Since you advertise as "Windows 11 ready" - shouldn't you have a list of different MBRs
that can be written - per system?

Thanks!

There are two options
XP which used NTLDR as its boot manager/loader and stored information in a text file boot.ini
All later Windows from Vista to W11 which use bootmgr and winload.exe as manager and loader respectively and store information in the BCD.

Beware though that pretty much all PCs sold with W10 or W11 onboard will be UEFI and not MBR;/BIOS, so don't use that option unless you are positive that it's appropriate and be pre-prepared to deal with the consequences of an ill informed decision (eg Have a repair disk to hand before proceding)
