Windows 7 Startup BSOD

Windows 7 x64 Home Premium on Acer Aspire 5742 laptop.

Ran Advanced SystemCare to clear junk files and defrag registry. Rebooted and got PXE-E61 error.
Checked BIOS. HDD was missing. Changed SATA Controller from AHCI to IDE. HDD detected. Rebooted and got 0x0...7B BSOD.

Accessed Windows RE through F8. All other menu items run into BSOD. Windows RE displays Windows on D:\ and System Reserved on C:\ when the reverse was true when Windows was working. In fact, only Windows drive C:\ was displayed when Windows was working, System Reserved was invisible.

Ran System Restore 2 restore points back.
Ran chkdsk with /f and /r on C:\ and D:\. Same BSOD.
Ran series of fixmbr, fixboot, rebuild bcd etc. No luck.

Accessed Windows RE from F8 and performed Attempt 2 & 3 (Nuclear Holocaust) creating new store, bcd etc following instructions given on NeoSmart Knowledgebase .

When performing Attempt 3, replaced drive letter C: with D: while running the bcdedit /set {GUID} device partition, osdevice partition etc. commands as Windows RE was detecting Windows on drive D:\. Hard luck. After Attempt 3, Repair Your Computer went missing from F8 menu list.

Any new solutions? Want to be considered as "one of the finest graduates of the NeoSmart Technologies Institute of BCD Learning". Therefore, solutions to manually repair, like the instructions given in the above mentioned NeoSmart Knowledgebase, will be appreciated. Thanks to all wizards of boot in advance.
