Win 7 and Win XP 2-system operation

Laptop computer
Intel core i5450M
DDR3 1033 2G
NVIDIA GT330M
WD HDD 500G
Win 7 Home Premium

I need to have both Win 7 and Win XP on this machine.
The vendor tells me that is is impossible.
Is it possible to install Win XP in this machine and create a 2-system operation?
Instructions will be highly appreciated!
