unmountable boot volume

Hello,

I have a triple boot xp, vista, win7 system on my HTPC. After the latest Windows updates (which may or may not be related) I had a BSOD with the message unmountable_boot_volume for my Windows 7. I have tried all the repair options but none successfully. Chkdsk was attempted numberous times and ran overnight. It did fix some errors but did not complete as it hung on one particular file number in verifying file data. I was unable to run bootrec /fixboot because the drive letter D: could not be accessed from the command prompt. Also repair shows the Win7 partition as size zero. Any other support would be much appreciated.
