Hi everyone,

I stucked and i cannot find any solution for almost two days so i need help, please.

I want XP and WIN7 dual boot.

XP is on D:, and WIN7 is on C: partition.

Win7 is booting and i cannot add new entry with easyBCD 2.3.

When i add it this is result, and then i make write mbr:
Code:
There are a total of 2 entries listed in the bootloader.

Default: Windows 7
Timeout: 30 seconds
EasyBCD Boot Device: C:\

Entry #1
Name: Windows 7
BCD ID: {current}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

Entry #2
Name: Microsoft Windows XP
BCD ID: {0767596a-b778-11e6-b7a6-ec0e541ce3c7}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \NST\ntldr

After that is normal booting into win7, and entry is deleted when i start easybcd next time. Is bootloader path wrong? I tried to put drive D: but nothing changed..

Please help

Thanks

Do NOT "write MBR".
That's for fixing a broken boot and will just undo everything you did previously.
Add an entry for XP letting EasyBCD autoconfigure.
That's it.
Don't change anything it sets up (like the disk letter).
Don't do anything else.

There's a lot of confusion surrounding and misuse of the Write MBR button; I'm open to any suggested text that is concise and clearly explains what its true purpose is, to be displayed in a message box/confirmation dialog upon clicking the button...
