AHCI vs IDE W-7/XP Problem

Ok, after DAYS of playing with BCD trying to dual boot my ACER Aspire 7535 Dual Dual Core QL-65 2.10 GHZ with 4 gb Ram laptop with preinstalled W-7 (64) with XP(SP3 32) I have gotten to the following point:

I can ONLY boot W-7 with bios SATA set for AHCI, and can ONLY boot XP when I change the bios SATA settings to IDE.

Is there something else I can do?
