I have a Sony Vaio Laptop with windows 8.1, I completed the Automated Repair successfully, but the laptop will not start. Upon pressing power button Vaio logo blinks on and then goes off and a cursor is blinking in the top left hand corner. It has stayed like this for hours. I restart and the same thing happens. What next? I changed the boot order to external device in the UEFI menu prior to using Easy RE. Can I use Easy RE to change the boot order back to hard drive?

Try running the CD another 2 times. Some repairs take more than one pass to finish completely.
