BCD corrupted, Vista won't boot

Hello,

When I try to boot Vista Ultimate 32 bit , I get File \boot\bcd is bad
status 0xC0000098. How do I fix this?

I did follow the steps, but unfortunately when I got to the step:

bcdedit /import c:\boot\bcd.temp

there was an error and it didn't work (volume corrupt or something?) and it said check to make sure all drivers are loaded.

I have no operating system listed in the system recovery options but I can go to a command prompt and get a "dir c:".

Go to the command prompt and do a chkdsk /f and let that run. That will check the integrity of the disk and also chack i for errors.
