bcd registry corrupt or missing

I attempted running duel boot Vista and XP.

PC crashed however managed to get back vista but have lost links to XP

Displays NTLDR missing

Although vista working I cannot use easy bcd to repair a problem

Message The BCD registry is corrupt or missing.

How do I repair this if Easy BCD or Vista boot pro wont let me
