BCDedit error when writing the bcd

Hi. I'm following the 3rd procedure to write the bcd.
When I tried this -
bcdedit.exe /store c:\boot\bcd.temp /create {bootmgr} /d "Windows Boot Manager"

I'm getting an error message : An unknown command was specified. Run "bcdedit /?" for command line assistance.

I was wondering if there is any other command to store the values in the bcd temp. or any new syntax. I'm working on a Win 7 Pro 64bit. Tried Rebuildbcd,fixmbr and fixboot. Nothing worked.
 
What type of disk are you using with this procedure? Meaning is this recovery disk downloaded from us, burned from the PC or original media from Microsoft?
