Is there any option?

is there any option rather than vhd file? I mean if there would be any other extension like raw or else... that can be used to boot. Since it would be easier to work without disturbing the filesystem.

Does it only meant for Ubuntu? or i can use other os like fedora n all? Also want to know if I can port the linux os. I dont want to install in Pen drive as its slow. But want to copy from my system & distribute to others & they can just copy paste & run from boot menu . I know its possible. But dont know much programming. But know a bit conecept. Thx a lot Computer Guru. At least once I will try wubi too.

Ashish
