I have vista 32 bit on my C partition, xp sp2 32 bit on D partition. While adding programs yesterday, I corrupted C ( vista ). I rebooted & used Drive Image to reload
a C drive image made the day before. Being vista, naturally it screwed everything up.
I installed my vista cd & repaired vista to reboot in vista. I downloaded Easy BCD earlier version which still did not allow Xp to reboot. Downloaded EasyBCD 2 and got Vista to work again. Downloaded the 2 files for XP ( although when opened in notepad looks like THEY have a problem ) and saved them in seperate partition. Then tried to reset XP boot with EasyBCD, bootgrabber.exe crashed. Copied both files to location shown in attached picts, tried reboot for xp, no go. Tried EasyBCD2, tried adding Xp, bootgrabber crashed again. I have orig xp & vista install disks.
If I can get them going again ( HELP!!! ), what would be a good program to copy
( image ) partitions C & D with so I have a backup of both drives ?
I have extra partitions on that drive ( I use for Storage ) and 2 other hard drives used for storage. The reaso for the larger drive as primary is it is faster than smaller drives ( I do some video editing & some rendering ).
I am running a Q6600 at 12 gig speed with 4 gigs memory, so I should not be having a recourse problem. I have OS7 64 bit on a different hard drive ( I switch hard drives for OS7) as a recourse also, and earlier power quest boot images of all drives created with power quest boot image installed on D ( xp ) drive.
I am good at hardware but mediocre at software usage.
