I am trying to create a Dual (Vista/XP) system on a single physical disk.

On separte disks I have built XP an Vista systems including many apps.
I have created images of each of these disks using True Image 11.

I then partition the XP disk and restore the Vista Image(without MBR and Track 0) to the partition andmark the partition as active

At this point I am stuck. The resultant disk will only boot to Vista

Can someone help

Hi Hawkeye, welcome to the boards.
Download yourself a copy of EasyBCD and read the Wiki

If you don't understand anything, post again.
Follow some of the links for background info on the dual-boot process. It's best to understand what it is you're trying to do before trying to do it.

Thanks for the feedback. Based what I learned in the Wicki, I proceeded
as follows:
On separte physical disks I have built XP an Vista systems including many apps.
I then created images of each of these disks using True Image 11.
I then partition the XP disk and restore the Vista Image(without MBR and Track 0)
to the partition and mark the partition as PRIMARY
I then reboot the system (received no bootmanager screen) successfully into XP, Drive C has XP
on it and Drive F has Vista on it
I then install EasyBCD and receive the following messages
"EasyBCD has detected that your BCD boot data and MBR are either not the
latest version of Windows Vista, or don't exist" I CHOOSE TO HAVE EasyBCD FIX THE PROBLEM
When asked, I choose Drive C (XP Partition) as boot device
When asked, I choose Drive F (Vista Partition) as the location of Vista files
I receive mssage that "Operation completed Successfully" and then receive Error Message "No valid entries found"
I checked Drive C and bootmanager was added but bootini, ntldr and ntdetect were not added to Drive F

I then go to the "Manage Bootloader" page, and select "Reinstall the Vista Bootloader" then "Write MBR"
I then open EasyBCD and only Vista is listed. I add XP
I reboot and choose Vista, receive error message "rundll32.exe ontry point not found"
Reboot again and choose XP. Reboot is successful
