Can easybcd replace the original menu

Some help needed!

Installed Windows 7 64 bit on drive a.
Installed ubuntu 10.04.2 64 bit on drive b.
These are 2 separate physical drives.

Wins was installed 1st. After installing ubuntu, boot loader menu options:
'Ubuntu. with Linux 2.6.32-32-generic'
'Ubuntu. with Linux 2.6.32-32-generic Recovery'
'Ubuntu. with Linux 2.6.32-28-generic'
'Ubuntu. with Linux 2.6.32-28-generic Recovery'
'Memory Test (memtest86+)'
'Memory Test (memtest86+, Serial console 115200)'

Windows 7(loader on /dev/sda2)

After Installing easybcd, the windows partition could be seen
The linux drive was added to the menu from within easybcd.

On reboot, got the same boot loader menu as above.
Selecting ubuntu, loads it into ubuntu desktop.
Selecting wins , goes to the newly added menu by easybcd which shows wins and ubuntu as the 2 options. Choosing Wins, loads wins desktop. Choosing Ubuntu, re-loads the menu above. Then choosing ubuntu from it, ubuntu desktop is loaded.

How can easybcd replace the original menu instead of adding to it?
Can the boot options as above be added by the easybcd loader such as recovery and downgraded kernel boot option?

When you installed Ubuntu, you allowed it to overwrite the MBR and take control of the boot.
If you want the MS bootmgr to control the boot you'll need to use the advanced options of EasyBCD in the "BCD deployment" section, "Install the Vista/7 bootloader to the MBR"
