Can I use a MAC to prep USB to recover Win Vista HD?

New to forum... Lenovo T61 HD failure, but no recovery disk here (not at home.) Trying to determine if I can download the "Repair" disk to a USB drive via a MAC? Or must I find a PC and burn a CD to get the repair disk image needed?
Probably a long shot!
