Hi there neosmart my vista system ran dead last weekend and I can't even access the safe mode. Vista 32 bits, VAIO VGN-SR28, an old beast but never fail me like this before. I followed all the steps in instruction to create the recovery CD but when I load it the following message showed up:
No suitable UMB memory block found
UMB's unavailable!
No UltraDMA controller; XDMA not loaded!
UMB's unavailable!
Driver name is "FDCD0000".
No CD-ROM drive to use; XCDROM ot loaded!
Cannot open CD driver FDCD0000. SHCDX33A cannot load!
A:\>
Now I don't know what to do...:x
Addendum:
After reburn the recovery disk, the above mentioned problem is solved; shame on me. But then I followed all three steps, even the nuclear holocaust, the computer still gives me that same "encounter problem screen" and can go nowhere. The automatic repair gave me a StartRep.exe - application error;
The exception Breakpoint
A breakpoint has been reached.
(0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x743d764a.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Can anyone help the case please?
