Cannot Reach Dual-Boot Menu

I used EasyBCD fine with Win7. Now Three times of reinstalling Win8 and trying to install Linux Mint leaves me with headaches galore. It now boots into Windows and never sees Linux. Even when I do the "PC Settings" from Win8 I never get a chance to choose Linux. There are no choices of OS. Here's what I see:
There are a total of 4 entries listed in the bootloader. The partition is there. I have tried changing the timeout etc., but to no avail.

I don't think W8 EFI will allow a dual-boot with a "foreign" system.
Afaik, the only way you can get it to work is to let Linux take over the boot and use it to dual-boot W8.
