Cant boot CD??It starts loading files and then starts from HD?

I got a BSOD earlier today and I tried to put in the NeoSmart recovery disk as I have done before. This time its not booting from the disk - I change by BIOS to start from the CD-DVD and everything sounds looks good until after the "Loading Files" screen...after the loading is complete the screen goes black with a cursor in the top LH corner for 2 seconds then it starts trying to boot from the HD.? I used this same disk two days ago when I got the computer and it worked flawlessly. Any input would be great.
 
Press a key to continue booting from the disc when prompted to. Otherwise it attempts to boot the system on the hard drive.

I don't get to the recovery console etc.

What is wrong? Any ideas please?
