cant boot

When I reboot all i get is a System box that says:
Scanning Devices.


Bios shows my drives are there.

Do you have XP, Vista, OS X, Ubuntu, Fedora or some other OS isntalled? Did you try to repair the boot for said OS?

Vista 32bit
Sata 250gb drive
no flopy drive and no dvd/cd rom working, but it never gets to the os or bootloader.

Its a ASCI looking box on top of the post screen
