Can't install XP 0x0000007B

I partitioned my new Asus X53E drive with 2 ntfs partitions, 1 120GB primary partition for the XP system that I want to install & 1 200GB primary partition for data. But when I loaded my XP sp3 install disk, when it went to start windows, I got the BSOD with0x0000007B.
Can anyone help me with this?

I figured out the BIOS access just fine, but the SATA native mode link assumes I've already got XP installed on my laptop. As I said in my original post, I got the BSOD before XP installed.
And I don't think this is my issue anyway. I appriciate your input.
