Can't Set Timeout Length

Using 2.2.0.182 to dual boot Win 7 and Ubuntu 12.10. Haven't used Ubuntu for quite awhile so had it set to Skip Boot Menu to go straight to Win 7. When I tried to allow Ubuntu again, couldn't set the timeout length; it was greyed out at 30 sec. How to fix?

Do you have the option checked for skip the boot menu?

Make sure you have the option checked for "Boot the default" which will give you the option to change the timeout length.

Sorry for the delay in response. Wouldn't you know it but my Win7 HDD crashed.

I did not have the "skip boot menu" option checked and the default boot was ticked for Win7.
