CD drive won't read Vista 32-bit recovery disc

#1
Computer #1 crashes shortly after start-up so the disk had to be made on computer #2. The disk can be read on the computer #2 but not computer #1. The CD drive works fine. Does anyone know why it won't read the disk?

"It can be read on the computer #2", but does it boot ?
If you have it in the tray when you power on does it say
"Press any key to boot from CD" ?

Does the damaged PC have a combo CD/DVD drive?

Try burning it to a DVD instead then.

OK, you have a bad drive. Your only other option is to use a USB stick.
