Change Boot Drive (Get rid of XP)

Thanks. That gave me the confirmation I needed. I followed the steps but I think Vista's boot kept getting confused by the bootmgr on the first partition. But I booted into System Repair and this time it did what I wanted. I've now successfully deleted the first partition.
Unfortunately, Vista won't expand the second partition downward (how annoying), and my old 7Tools Partition Manager 2005 refuses to boot (I don't think it understands the SATA/RAID controller the drives are on).
But everything's operational, and all I need to do is keep my eyes open for a simple (and preferably free) partition manager that'll let me resize the partition to the full drive. That's not a major priority though.

Thanks for all your help;
Brad.

Thanks, I stumbled across that just before seeing your post. Took a few hours to complete, and I have to do the Windows Repair *again* and a chkdsk on the first boot, but the end results were quite satisfactory. I'm finally all done, thanks for all the help.

Brad.
