Deleting System Partition and Moving System to Boot Partition

I have a partitioned Disk 0 with both C: and D: partitions. D: is left over from Windows XP. I want to eliminate the D: partition and make C: the System AND Boot partition. As I understand it, Easy BCD can do this. Any suggestions on the proper steps would be appreciated. I've enclosed a screen image of the Disk Manager.

You can make the W7 partition "system" "active" by copying the boot files
Changing the Boot Partition
after which (and rebooting) you'll be able to format/reuse the old XP partition.
You won't be able to "merge" the partitions though using any standard Windows facility.
You can only shrink/expand the OS partition at the back end, not the front.
You'd need a booted third-party partition manager to manipulate the W7 partition back to the front of the disk, and it's probably not worth the effort/risk.
