Dual Boot Win 7 and 8.1 two HDDs Cannot boot 8.1

New notebook that came with 8.1 preinstalled. I put in my old hard drive running 7 and got EasyBCD so I could boot up either. I have turned off Fast Boot and Secure Boot. My default system was 8.1 and at first I was getting both OSs to show but WIn 7 would not boot. I eventually figured out that I could boot both from BIOS once I turned off secure boot and enabled CSM. So BIOS boot was working fine. I then went into 8 to see if could make BCD work. I reset the menu and rebuilt it using what I thought was correct information. However, on the reboot I got a system level screen stating that the BCD had no valid information to boot an operating system.

I figured OK I screwed up the entries and went back to boot Win 8 from BIOS and NO GO. I can no longer boot WIn 8. I can still boot Win 7 from BIOS but BCD is installed under Win 8.

I have tried creating a new boot entry in the BIOS but nothing I select seems to work.

Any help?

THanks in advance

Roger
