Hello
I read much news but didn't find a solution on a dual boot problem.
I did the following:
from two old disk, one with XP and the other with Win7 , I made with the help of Matrium Reflex two image backup.
Both OS was installed on the first partition.
Restored the images on a new external HD (USB).
Fist Win7 and WinXP on a second partition.
Removed all hard disk's and installed the external disk inside the PC.
Started the PC.
To start Win7, I have had to use the repair CD from Win7 for the first time.
Download EasyBCD 2.2 to create a dual boot to start XP on the second partition.
I see this this partition from Win7 and all files. Mapped to G: from win7
But WinXP won't start. I get the error : <Root windows>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe is missing.
I think the problem must be that WinXP was installed on the first partition on the old HD.
My question: it is possible to resolve this problem with the help of EasyBCD?
Many thanks for your help.
Otto
PS: Sorry for my poor english.

Did you add an XP entry and alter its drive to G ?
If so delete the XP entry, add it again, let EasyBCD "auto-configure", and don't change what it creates.

Thanks for your help. I deleted the Win XP entry and used the "auto-configure". Now I see the start process. But after a few seconds it freeze.
It shows me the window logo. I can move the mouse pointer. But nothing more append.
I think some information’s must be wrong in the restored WinXP registry!
