dual boot xp/osx

hi there to all i have a problem that i hope one of you guys can help me with
i have windows xp sp3 in one partion and osx on the other but i can only boot into
windows i have no option to boot into osx.when i install easy bcd i get this message
the boot configuration store could not be opened the system cannot find the file specified.as you have probably gathered i am a complete newby so any help would be greatly appreciated

You can't use EasyBCD to multi-boot any configuration that doesn't contain either Vista or W7.
The BCD is part of those OSs. EasyBCD just manipulates it, and in your case it has nothing to work with.
