Dual Booting Ubuntu & W7

Hi,

I HAD a working full disk partition with Ubuntu 10.04 (lately upgraded to 10.10)
I'm pretty sure I had no bootloader on it because it was booting directly on Ububtu
I partitioned the HDD and installed Win7 on the second partition.
No I can only boot to W7
The only way to find my U10.10 partition and files is to boot from a LIVE CD and mount it after loading.
Is there a way to have both partitions show up at boot time and select ?
EasyBCD doesn't work if you don't have a bootloader already installed on Ubuntu. At least this is my conclusion

Thanks
