EASY BCD 2.3 not opening on Windows 10

Hello, I am on windows 10 currently and Easy BCD doesn't seem to open up. It starts the Easy BCD process in task manager for a few seconds then closes itself. It was opening with an older version (may be 2.2), but the boot setting weren't saving(resetting after every reboot). So I updated to 2.3 and now it is not opening, I tried cleaning registry and re installing . But still no use.
PS: I'm trying to install Remix OS on my harddrive.
 
When you launch EasyBCD and it doesn't run, can you please

1) Check the task manager under "Detailed" for any of bcdedit.exe, bootgrabber.exe, utfredirect.exe, and easybcd.exe
2) Check the event viewer (winkey+r -> eventvwr.msc <ENTER>) for any EasyBCD errors under "System" or "Application"

@mqudsi Thank you for the reply.

1. Yes,when I start Easy BCD , there is a process called easybcd.exe in task manager , its status changes to "suspended" within few seconds and it closes automatically.
2. Yes,I get two errors under application tab in Event viewer.. Here are the screenshots..

Hope this is enough information for you to find out the problem.

maxpop, the task manager won't show anything like "suspended" if you're in the detailed view - that's probably from the first screen.

At any rate, this should be easily fixed by deleting the folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\NeoSmart_Technologies\EasyBCD

PS: I meant suspended in the "details" tab in the task manager..Anyway, thanks again!!! :smile:
 
I am having the same problem under win 10.
When I run it nothing appears to happen. 2 errors are shown in the event viewer.
There is NO FOLDER named C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\NeoSmart_Technologies\EasyBCD
Actually there is no neo_smart_technologies folder at all on the system

Same thing here. 2.3 did not start/show up. Using Windows 10 German - 64 bit. Commercial Version (!)
Then I tried the 204 beta (non commercial) and this Version starts and ask for language. Did not test any functions but starts and seems to work.
 
I'm having the same Issues as sl2222 and nothing here C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\NeoSmart_Technologies\ to delete there is no Neosmart_tech folder

I tried installing version EasyBCD 2.3 on a Windows 7 VM. When it starts it throws a System.BadImageFormatException

I am having the exact same problem with the same errors in the event viewer (only in dutch in my case :smile:).
I have the deleted the neomart technologies directory that was probably created by easybcd 2.2 but that did not solve the problem.

Count me in also. I uninstalled, deleted the file indicated and reinstalled, but still nothing. So I just uninstalled again. When the problem is fixed I will download and install it. Too bad, I have purchased several of the easy recovery programs for other versions of windows in the past and had used them well.
 
Hello everyone,

We believe that this was caused by an incorrectly uploaded copy of EasyBCD 2.3 to our file server.
Can you please try download it again and re-installing?
