easy bcd or windows cd wont boot

I just got the easybcd download and burned disc it will not boot. The windows cd will not boot either, I have set the Bios to cd boot and cd boot first. The problem came after Ubuntu 13.04 install and reinstall.

Windows 7 64 bit. Gibabyte 990xa motherboard.

Just checking the unanswered posts, while hoping for an answer to mine!

But, why? :S That's not how you you install it. It's an MS Windows executable file.

The windows cd will not boot either, I have set the Bios to cd boot and cd boot first.

Put a meter across your BIOS coin cell. A dead cell is more likely than a mechanical failure of your optical drive. But, will your hardware boot to your installed operating system from the HDD? If yes, put a data disk with a file system on it into the optical drive and see if you can get a directory. If this doesn't work normally, it could be the drive, after all. :nerd:
