I seen a screenshot of easy bcd in pc magazine and noticed that it allows a option to enable unsigned drivers with vista 64. Does this option totally allow vista 64 to install plugins etc, thus making it like the 32 bit version. I have the 64 bit version but continue to use xp because of the hassles that 64 bit presents.

Windows Vista forces you to use only Microsoft-authorized drivers in Vista x64, this workaround removes that restriction.
Now as to the nature of the drivers, that is left to the software developers.
