EasyBCD 1.7.2 slow to load

Hi All, Im using EasyBCD 1.7.2 and it takes forever to load. Once I launch EasyBCD two process appear in Windows Task Manager: bcdedit.exe and EasyBCD.exe These load and load and do nothing. CPU usage spikes high and no actual application loads. What gives?

It takes about a minutes to load the GUI. If it doesnt load in that time then the application is not installed correctly or your system could be infected.

Which application is using the CPU? It sounds like there's something wrong with your system to bcdedit.exe is failing to tell EasyBCD about your config.

What OS is this?

Hi all, I am using Windows Vista. I've taken a screenshot after 2 minutes of running as a process:



Gobbling up CPU at 100%.

Can you open up a command prompt and run

bcdedit.exe

Then paste the output of that command here?

I've done that with this result:

Seems you've found the problem: bcdedit.exe won't quit.

I take it (from the presence of some EasyBCD settings in the bcdedit output) that this was not always the case?
