EasyBCD 2.4 will not install

I have a good Windows 7 system with multiple partitions and OS's. Somehow I recently lost my grub menu loader and so I thought I would try the EasyBCD program. Well when I try to install it I get the following error message and then the installer dies.

"Error! Can't initialize plug-ins directory. Please try again later."

I just tried to install several other programs as a test and they installed and uninstalled just fine. Your website says that the program is supposed to work fine with Windows 7 which is my primary OS. I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my PC. Is there any way I can get EasyBCD to install?

Problem fixed. I discovered that somehow I no longer had write permission to my temp directory. So once I fixed that, then the installation worked fine. So after doing a chkdsk some errors were found. Thankfully, all is well now. So if you encounter this problem, check your temp directory permissions.
