EasyBCD doesn't seem to work

Hello all,

I've installed Wubi and then used EasyBCD to add it to the boot menu. Everything seemed to check out before I rebooted. Once I rebooted, I expected to see "Ubuntu" under the Windows option. There was no such option. It booted right into Windows Vista. Any ideas?

EDIT: Fixed this. It seems EasyBCD installed to the U:\ drive for some reason the first time. That drive doesn't exist. Ubuntu is in the boot menu now, but now it just boots to a "grub>" prompt.

Yes i did. But you must not have read the documentation.

When prompted to set up the bootloader, make sure you specify to install LILO, GRUB, or whatever to the bootsector of the partition that Linux is being installed to and not the MBR of your hard drive.

I am willing to bet that the GRUB was installed to teh MBR of your hard drive and not the boot sector of the Linux partiton which would allow EasyBCD and the BCD to work properly.

Wubi does not ask to install a bootloader.

Addendum:

Fixed. It seems I had to copy the menu.lst file from the Wubi folder and overwrite the one in the NST folder. Sir, thank you for your help and patience.

Hmmm sounds like that might be a bug or something there.....

Do you mind sharing the contents of Detailed View in EasyBCD?
