EasyBCD Doesn't Start in Windows 2000

Hi,

I'm trying to save my Windows Vista (NTLDR error when I try to boot to it). Only operating system disc I have around is Windows 2000 (my vista disc is long gone -- I'm not sure I ever had it. Came preinstalled on my laptop). I installed Windows 2000 on a free partition, installed .NET framework 2.0 SP1, but when I run EasyGCD I get

"The specified executable is not a valid Win32 application."

Any help would be much appreciated.

I love you all. Couldn't get EasyBCD to work, but I downloaded the Vista Recovery Disk ISO, and followed the instructions (I had to do all of them), then it wanted to self-repair one more time, and voila. Thank you all for your hard work. Donation surely incoming.

Hey nortik, we love you too. Glad to be of help, and thanks again for reporting your issue on Windows 2000.

No promises that it'll be fixed, but it's good to know the cause of that error message.
