Addendum:
Update: From my Win DVD drive letter, I ran "d:\boot\ bootsect.exe /nt60 all" as per MS Technet article. That fixed my Win 7 boot now I can run win 7 again. Pheww. Now have to figure out how to get the dual boot. Maybe install EasyBCD on Win 7 and try it there.
So I ran EasyBCD:
Select Windows/NT/2k/XP/2K3,
Auto detect drive, Click Add entry, (no errors this time)
Reboot and SCORES!!
- System partition, Drive C,
- Win 7 (x86) on Partition 1, drive D,
- Win XP (x64) on Partition 1, Drive E
To setup Dual boot I followed all the instructions up to the point where you are to:
- Select Windows/NT/2k/XP/2K3,
- Auto detect drive,
- Click Add entry, then poof: the dreaded "EasyBCD failed to detect a valid installation of Windows NT-2003....".
