EasyBCD error: on Vista 64b .NET Framework - file name not provided error?

Anything I try to do with EasyBCD pops up an error.
Ive tried running it in w2003 compatability mode, xp compatability mode, as administrator.
Ive tried reinstalling as administrator, and as user.
Ive tried some reboot combinations. Ive attached two screenshots, and the error text...

My box is an asus G50 with two 320g hds. drive 1 has vista. drive 2 has win7.
It only loads drive 1, only vista 64b...
any suggestions?

Hello Jakerson, welcome to NST

Unhide hidden files/folders on view tab in folder options (my computer -> Tools -> Folder Options). Navigate to your NST settings folder, something like: c:\documents and settings\jakerson\application data\local\neosmart_technologies. Delete all folders/files here.

Go into disk management. If the disk containing XP does not have an active partition, set XP's partition as active by right clicking on it.

Some other things you can try if its still not working:
Get the .net framework as an installer from Microsoft's website and re-install
Get a newer version of .net (3.5)
Re-install EasyBCD

I appreciate the time you took to write a response.
so -
unfortunately, I dont have that folder or anything like it.
not under c:\documents and settings\** not under c:\users\name\appdata\*** not under program files, nowhere...

I dont have XP. One disk has vista 64b and one has Windows 7. Both are active.

The newer version of .net wont install - I believe everything is updated. It says current version already installed. I tried to get the 4.0x beta, but i'm a bit nervous about going beta. There's a limit to how much work I want to do as a work-around.

I've reinstalled EasyBCD several times now. It generates an error with everything I try to do, and doesn't do anything I select.
Any suggestions what I should try next?

For Vista/W7 your user folder is located in c:\users.

I downloaded 1.71 and tried that. I reinstalled a few times.
I hate to give up on it...
any other suggestions?

There are over a million copies of EasyBCD out there working on multiple varieties of Windows.
If you can't run it, you should be investigating your .NET environment.
That's a pre-requisite.
Do other .NET applications run without problems ?
