I'm trying to use EasyBCD 2.0 on windows 7 to install my bcd changes but when I hit "install bcd" it comes up with a message "Failed to replace BCD, the process cannot access the file C:\boot\BCD because it is being used by another process

I don't know what program would be keeping up my BCD. I can provide more information if it is required.

What are you trying to do ?
The BCD is "always open" in Windows.
You can't replace it.
The only "Install BCD" button is for creating a bootable external device (e.g a flash drive), not for changing your system.

As Terry says, you don't need to "install" anything. Just hit the "Save" button on whatever page you made your modifications and you'll be good to go.
