Easybcd wont open

I have installed framework 2.0 and I am trying to find away to open 1.7.2 it keeps telling me to reinstall. I tried different versions all the way to 1.51 and they work but they keep trying to write a new mbr but fail.

Do you got Vista/W7 installed? EasyBCD is a utility to edit Windows BCD, which began being used to boot Windows post XP.

I have both xp and vista and trying to boot vista but need to change boot settings.

If you need to get Vista booting either use your Vista DVD or download our recovery disc and follow the instructions here.

Also, you may want to try the latest build of EasyBCD.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. "Telling you to reinstall" What does? When?

I never programmed such a message into EasyBCD.

it says its not configured properly. Try to reinstall
