This is as far as it ever gets. Ideas?

Hey, I’ve seen this kind of hang before with Easy Recovery Essentials. The fact that it stops right after fixing that INT18 error and doesn’t proceed usually means there’s a deeper issue with the disk or the partition table that the tool can’t handle automatically. One thing that helped me once was to run a full chkdsk from a Windows recovery environment instead of relying solely on Easy Recovery. Sometimes these tools identify a problem but can’t fully fix it without booting into a more native Windows repair mode. Also, double-check that your SSD (looks like /dev/nvd2p5 in your case) isn’t failing-use SMART diagnostics if you can. If the disk health is good, consider rebuilding the boot configuration manually using bootrec commands (like bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot) in Command Prompt from recovery. Hope it helps!
