erro openning BCD registry

Im trying to dual boot win7 and xp pro sp3, win7 installed first,
installed XP, installed net framework2 and installed BCD, however i connot run easy BCD 2 build 89,

i get the error opening BCD registry
The boot configuration data store could not be opened
the system cannot find the message text for messages number 0x%1 in the message file for %2.

need help...

Look in disk management for a small partition thats the active partition. Give this partition a letter and try to start EasyBCD again.
 
sorry for the late reply, managed to boot in windows 7 using the recovery disc, tried to add xp and let it auto configure.
windows 7 working and cant boot to xp with missing NTLDR error

Is ntldr present on C: (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden and protected OS files in folder options)?
