Error Opening BCD Registry

I have just installed EasyBCD 2.0.2 and when it started it displayed an error message:

Error Opening BCD Registry
The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The system cannot find the file specified.
Would you like to manually load a BCD registry for EasyBCD to manage?
Yes No

Any suggestions?
 
EasyBCD expects to find the BCD on the "active" partition of the boot drive.
If that's not where it is on your system, you need to tell it where to find it.
(clue - It's in the root of the partition Windows flags as "system", inside the \boot folder.)
 
I just installed EBCD as well and I have WinXP and it installs fine and then the error I get is "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) Click OK to terminate the application".

Any ideas on what's going on and why the program won't work?? I downloaded and installed the version "for" WinXP. Or. at least that the link that I clicked on to get the EXE.

I got it workin thanks to another thread suggesting installing .NET.. now, I am getting the same error as above...

How do I maneuver through this?

I Have:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit, x64
Opening (and even reinstalling) EasyBCD, i get one large error message up to the point where i can't click any "OK". And the close button is disabled.

P.S. where can i find the log file?
