Firefox 3.0 Beta

Thats ok Mak. But cant you do the same thing in Opera?
Right Click> Block Content> Hold shift and choose the image you wish to block?
Is that the same or is Firefox's better?

Ah hokay you sue the Content blocker in Opera. Forgot about that one. I use a urlfilter which just blocks the content without me having to do the content block cause nto all content you want to block it can block.

But yes it si pretty much the same way. Right click on image you will see the AdBlock Image under the right click menu and just click it. The AdBlock Image screen comes up and you add the rule. Done.

For a indepth look at the Opera Ad Filter check this out. This is how i first came about using the urlfilter.ini

I know both ways, the way where you go to the .ini file and add the websites to it.
I dont know exactly where but i found a program that did it directly.(it added a huge list to it)
I was comparing the Firefox image blocker to that of Opera. Thats all.
No matter what ill still use Opera when i can.

Opera's in-built ad-blocker is far better than Firefox's.

Firefox only lets you block an entire domain by default:
"Block images from domain.com"

While Opera lets you block partial domain matches like
"Block images from domain.com/ads/"

I have been able to block specific images and not just domains in Firefox. But i manually added them to the Ad Blocker. Like Ron!n's Danasoft image. I was able to just add that and not block the whole domain.

It can be done either way with Firefox. Just easier in Opera.
