I'm trying to install this technology for the sake of running both UBUNTU and XP (and possibly UBUNTU SEVER)
right now I keep getting a message about Error that the boot configuration Data store Could not be opened - and the system could not find the specified and suggested that I manually load a BCD registry.

How do I do this?

The BCD is a feature of the Vista/7 boot
It doesn't exist in XP or Linux.
EasyBCD cannot be used to multi-boot any combination of OSs which doesn't include either Vista or W7.

If you install Ubuntu after XP, letting it default to taking over the boot process, it will detect XP and automatically give you a dual-boot option through grub.
