Help w/Vista & Xp multi boot

I have 2 hard drives 1 with vista installed the other with XP installed. I installed BCD, but I cannot boot into XP. I get the "Ntldr" error. I read that I have to download and extract the ntdetect files but i'm not sure exactly where to.....guide says to the root of the drive letter (not sure where that is). In Vista, XP shows up in drive E".

Copy NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM to the same partition that has boot.ini.
