Help with multi-boot usb

Im trying to make a multi boot usb drive that has vista recovery disk and a dell pw reset that accesses the recovery partition on new dell computers (basically a custom version of the vista revocery disk) i have tried making 2 entries to the boot.wim files in seperate directores as well as in the same with renaming one of them (boot2.wim) everytime i choose to add the entry i get the error "index and count must refer to a location within the string. parameter name:count.
I have tried diff usb drives, diff os (x64 x86) and diff computers. I can edit the boot os on my pc (i managed to kill it so then i fixed that problem) but i cant edit the usb bcd. Any ideas?

You got a point there, bummer... I'd copy the files over to the flash drive, but getting the appropriate boot code there to boot it is anohter matter....

I might suggest the use of grub here and see if you can get an entry in menu.lst to launch setup.

if it matters im launching a compressed wim, i just tried booting the wim file on my main pc and it works, i think its a matter of getting that error to go away. I read that copying the bcdedit exe beside the easybcd exe and try that but i get the same result

Addendum:

this program is really frustrating me, i have tried every way possible to get this thing to work, heres the full error i get when tryn to save a new entry

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Drop me a PM with your email + agreement not to distribute any private builds you get, and I'll send you copy of EasyBCD 2.0 beta which should fix that error.
