Hooking up my labtop to the tv

I have a hp pavilion dv9740us im trying to see if i can hook it up to my tv. [my tv is a older model, its an Emerson bubble back] or if someone can lead me to a site where it has instructions.
 
The port well be the same on the TV as it is on the laptop. It is a circular plug. Get an s-video cable to connect and make sure you got the latest video driver/software to handle that output as a display (intel mobile graphics driver for example). That's how I hook mine up anyway.
 
If you don't have an S-Video port on the TV, drop by your nearest Radio Shack or other electronics store and ask for an S-Video to RCA converter.
