How Can I Open PST Files Without Installing Outlook?

I have an old Outlook PST file containing important emails, attachments, and archived conversations, but Microsoft Outlook is not installed on my current computer. I only need to access a few messages and check some attachments without configuring an Outlook account or importing the entire mailbox. I am looking for a straightforward method to read the existing PST file without changing its original contents.

Is it possible to open a PST file without Outlook and browse individual folders directly? I would also like to know whether a standalone PST viewer can display sent emails, drafts, contacts, and calendar entries instead of showing only inbox messages. Since the file contains business communication, preserving the original folder structure and message details is important to me.

During my research, I found the SysInfo PST Viewer, which supports viewing PST files without requiring Microsoft Outlook. According to its official product page, it can preview emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, and other mailbox items. It also provides search options for locating messages by sender, recipient, subject, date range, and attachment status. These features could be useful when I need to locate specific information in an old email archive.

The tool also supports PST and OST file viewing and offers export options such as PST, EML, MSG, MBOX, PDF, and CSV. Its demo version allows users to preview and export up to 100 emails per folder, which could help me test whether the required messages are accessible before choosing a suitable solution.
