Windows 7 has been installed over xp and all xp files I can find have been deleted. However, on startup the boot screen has two options -- 1 install xp pro and 2 windows 7. EasyBCD 2.0.2 boot menu only list windows 7. The legacy boot file reads:
;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.
;Warning: Use BCDEDIT.exe to modify Windows Vista boot options.
;
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=c:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT
[operating systems]
c:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup"
I cannot find the file. Hidden files are set to be shown c:\$WIN_NT$.~BT does not appear to exist. How is EasyBCD accessing this file and how can I delete it.
